The Formentor SUV coupé has recently become the first model of the Spanish brand CUPRA on the market to feature a completely unique body. However, sporty and ambitious drivers are not only attracted by the dynamic lines.
But the VZ5, which is limited to 7,000 vehicles, shows that even sports cars have a real opponent here. After all, the charismatic 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine of the most powerful Formentor produces an impressive 390 HP (287 kW) and 480 Nm. And that is even slightly more than a current Porsche Carrera, although there is a stalemate when it comes to acceleration. Both need 4.2 seconds for the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h. But anyone who wants to pass the legendary sports car with confidence can now have this wish fulfilled. Thanks to ABT Power S, the CUPRA’s performance increases to a remarkable 450 HP (331 kW), with maximum torque rising to 530 Nm.
